Koller GMBH, cel mai mare producator de sisteme de hidromasaj din Europa. http://www.rkoller.com/en/whirlpool/unternehmen In 1978 the company Koller Whirlpool was founded by Mr. Rudolf Koller who began importing and selling both the little known spa baths and the necessary components needed to install them. Mr. Koller conceived the idea that these massage jets could be installed into standard bath tubs, and so, in a small garage with the assistance of one employee the great Koller journey of progress began. However, the components purchased were made of plastic and did not meet the high quality standards demanded by Mr. Koller and so he turned his attention to providing the worlds’ first whirlpool jets made completely of brass and manufactured in house at Kollers’ own factory. 1983 Saw the invention of the 100% drainage of water system which completely drains away any stale, unhygienic water from the jets, pipes and drains after use thereby guaranteeing a cleaner, safer whirlpool bath every time. Also in 1983 began the successful cooperation with Austria’s leading bath manufacturer, the company Polypex, and even today whirlpool components produced by Koller are still being installed into Polypex tubs, together creating an Austrian product popular for its high quality. 1984 Saw the purchase and opening of the parent plant in Vitis (a former woodwork factory), step by step this was converted into a production centre for whirlpool components and as demand has grown so the plant has been extended, currently there are five halls with an area of 5000qm and Vitis houses the electronics production as well as metal processing and the research and development department. 1984 also saw the invention of the automatic water level sensor and the electronic control panel for whirlpools. 1985 Koller created the air jet which meant that the limitation of small holes being drilled into the bottom of a bath only, had been changed forever, all brass parts and chrome plating is now done in house at Vitis, guaranteeing the highest quality and flexibility – the in-house paint shop was begun in the same year to ensure the colour control for all visible parts. 1987 Brought the invention of the automatic disinfection unit. 1990 Koller Company begins production in the former Czechoslovakia. 1991 Koller introduces the micro jet. This particularly small jet is especially suited for use in the back and foot areas of the bathtub. 1992 Due to the increase in demand for cheaper whirlpools Koller begins producing components made in plastic, but still keeping the same high standards of manufacture with the first state of the art injection moulding machines being located in Jindrichuv Hradec (Neuhaus). 1993 The first universal bathtub strengthener is put on the market. 1994 Koller produces its own air blowers. Fitting in fitting technology introduced, a revolutionary invention in whirlpool installation – these innovative and stepless fittings save costs and labour time in the production process as components just fit into each other thus eliminating the need for any hose in-between. 1995 Koller begins in-house pump production and within the same year variable speed pumps are developed and produced from the same plant – plans for the bottom suction drain & overflow were finalised. 1996 Rudolf Koller founds Koller Malta Limited to service its international customers, with motivated staff able to converse in multiple languages. 1998 Sees Koller apply for a patent for the magic-jet. This amazing breakthrough combines both air and water from within one single jet to offer a completely unique massage experience. 1998 The ultimate accolade as the company Koller receives the coat-of-arms of Austria as recognition of its great achievements in industry. 1999 Invention of the future-jet also known as “water-jet” – this innovation is a pure water jet which works without the addition of an airline, thereby achieving a new and intensive massage effect. 2000 The Company Rudolf Koller Spol. s.r.o. begins the new millennium by moving into its new 10 000qm factory building – from here all plastic components will be produced on the latest injection moulding machines and the facility has the benefit of its own tool shop in the Czech Republic. 2001 Rudolf Koller receives the title ‘Kommerzialrat’ for his achievements. Development of the new C-profile series of pump and blowers significantly reduces the installation time needed for these units. 2003 The new spa light for chromotherapy is put on the market along with illuminated control buttons, air controls and jets. Invention and introduction of the zone massage – with this component it is possible to create a perfectly tuned massage sequence. 2004 Click-in technology emerges, simplifying the installation of the mini-, midi- and micro-jets thereby optimizing their function – foundation of the company fine Austrian S. L. In Spain to handle the southwest European and south American markets. 2005 Once again Kollers’ in-house production team have provided a new addition to the Koller range – relaxan – a superior selection of bath salts, oils and perfumes developed especially for use in whirlpools, saunas and steam cabins. The product range has whirlpool cleaners and disinfection liquids all marketed under the brand name Relaxan. 2005 With the organisation of the whisper pool series, also known as “silent pool” water sounds are reduced to a minimum by the use of special whisper-jets together with a small silent blower, treating the user to a unique relaxation experience. 2008 The nano - jet comes to promenance, due to its exceptional small shape it is now possible to install a multitude of jets into one bathtub focused on reaching every point on the body for a total perfect massage. 2008 The development of the flat-line series begins – this worldwide unique design of super flat jets, suction covers, buttons, spa lights, air controls and other visible parts reflect the modern trend for minimalist beauty and combines this with exceptional design, quality and functionality. 2009 Koller applies for a patent for the baby whirlpool, another innovative, technological masterpiece.
